Our Story
Founded in 2017, Teampay emerged from a real need. Our founders experienced firsthand the chaos of collecting fees on game day — misplaced $50 notes, awkward IOUs, handfuls of 50-cent coins. They knew there had to be a better way. Teampay was built to bring simplicity and security to community sport, giving players and teams a streamlined, reliable payment solution.
From a small start to a national presence, Teampay grew to support thousands of clubs, leagues and associations across Australia. In 2025, we joined PlayHQ — Australia’s leading competition management platform — as one company. Co-founders have joined the PlayHQ team, continuing to grow game-day payments across Australia and beyond.
